Our school is proud of its green projects. We want to help students and teachers to learn to live in a way that is good for the planet. We have done many things to teach about environmental problems and change our behavior.
In 2022, we launched a zero plastic bottle campaign, building on previous efforts.
Since 2021, the club organises a day without shopping on Black Friday.

Gimnazija Ptuj without plastic / In 2022, we launched a zero plastic bottle campaign, building on previous efforts. The club prepared workshops and presentations for all classes and the petition against plastic at school that was signed by 90 % of students and teachers. What was achieved? No plastic plates, cutlery and lids for takeaway coffee at school.
We organizes a T-shirt exchanges with the goal to buy less clothes.
In 2023, our focus shifted to an experiential theater performance and workshop called Island X. We have to be avare, that there is no Planet B. Additionally, we prioritize waste recycling.
Our dedication to global awareness is evident in events like the Global Learning Week in 2017, where students connected with the theme "My World Depends on All of Us" through readings of Slovenian literature.
Furthermore, our involvement in initiatives like Erasmus+ "We are the Change" in October 2023 reflects our commitment to international collaboration, as seen with our partners from Lithuania and Germany.
